D’s depression has not responded to treatment. He’s been on basically every SSRI known to man, some anti-bipolars, some heart meds for anxiety and so far things work for a second and then make him worse, or they just leave him foggy and unable to think. He has sleep problems and some other…
Look, I know many of you hate when I use this blog as a soap box, but I really need your help. I’m not asking for money, just someone, anyone who knows where to go for a good differential diagnosis with awareness of mental as well as physical health issues. I can pay whatever I end up needing to pay, I just need my husband to be okay.
Hey, so I’m writing letters to my congress people and senators about the gross inefficiencies of the immigration system. This is America goll dang it, and frankly their chronically broken infopass website that was clearly designed in 1993, and the conflicting information and arcane websites and wording of forms, and the fact that they can’t look up my tax information themselves is just absurd (the NVC should be able to communicate with the IRS) is unworthy of us as a country, and gives a poor impression to people who’ve worked hard to immigrate.
A lot has been said about the path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, a measure I firmly support, but the poorly run and Kafka-esque bureaucracy that is the USCIS has been utterly ignored. I firmly believe more people would choose to go through the process if the process weren’t such a tangled web of nightmares and giant spiders.
So um, basically who wants to help me with a letter writing campaign?
Hate to do this to you guys, but as you know I’m having a hell of a time with getting my spouse a greencard, and while I may have resolved my own issues, this system is outmoded, intensely unjust and impenetrable, help me send a message that Americans will not tolerate this mistreatment of immigrants and their families.
